Ο Δον Κιχώτης, του Μιγκέλ Θερβάντες, ένα από τα κορυφαία έργα της παγκόσμιας λογοτεχνίας, εξακολουθεί να συγκινεί μέχρι σήμερα, γιατί είναι βαθιά ανθρώπινο.
Οι δυο χαρακτηριστικοί ήρωες του έργου, ο ονειροπαρμένος Δον Κιχώτης, που αποφασίζει ξαφνικά να γίνει ιππότης, για να υπερασπιστεί τους αδύνατους και τους κατατρεγμένους, παρέα με τον αγαθό υποκόμο του Σάντσο Πάντσα, θα μπλεχτούν σε χίλιες δυο περιπέτειες, άλλοτε διασκεδαστικές, άλλοτε δραματικές.
Όλοι μας λίγο πολύ κρύβουμε μέσα μας ένα Δον Κιχώτη και ένα Σάντσο Πάντσα.

Έχοντας διαβάσει πολλά ιπποτικά μυθιστορήματα, ο ονειροπόλος αγρότης Αλόνσο Κιχάνο θεωρεί ότι είναι και ο ίδιος ιππότης και έτσι αλλάζει το όνομά του σε Δον Κιχώτης. Μαζί με τον ιπποκόμο του Σάντσο ξεκινά ένα ταξίδι στην Ισπανία του 16ου αιώνα. Θα ζήσουν απίστευτες περιπέτειες μεταξύ πραγματικότητας και φαντασίας, με απρόβλεπτες συνέπειες.
